Practice Area(s):

Amanda is a general disputes lawyer and Co‑Head of the Employment Practice at Gall. With a decade of experience in dispute resolution, she advises high-net-worth individuals, financial institutions, and multinational corporations on complex, high-stakes matters.

She advises both employers and senior executives on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. She regularly works with global corporations, particularly within the financial services sector, and is well-versed in the regulatory landscape affecting employers and employees in Hong Kong.

In addition to her employment practice, Amanda’s dispute practice spans commercial litigation and arbitration. She has extensive experience acting for high-net-worth individuals and families in complex private wealth disputes, including contentious trust, estate, and related commercial matters. She is frequently instructed in long-running or strategically challenging cases, particularly where a fresh, methodical reassessment of the case is required. In arbitral proceedings, she is adept at deploying demonstrative materials and evidential analysis to present complex disputes with clarity and strategic impact.

She notably acted in a highly complex cross-border probate dispute that had been ongoing for 26 years. Prior to her involvement, no recovery had been achieved. Through strategic repositioning of the case and detailed forensic investigation, she helped secure recovery of over HK$150 million for her client, including the first payment received in more than two decades. She has similarly acted in contentious trust disputes, transforming previously unfavourable positions into successful outcomes. Her private wealth practice reflects a strategic, persistent, and commercially focused approach to resolving sensitive and high-value disputes.

Amanda is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and as an attorney in New York. She holds an LLB (Hons.) from Durham University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from the University of Hong Kong.
