Jolly Xu


Jolly was admitted as a Solicitor in Hong Kong in 2016, after completing her LLB and PCLL at the University of Hong Kong. She started her professional career by joining Gall in 2012.

Jolly assists in various aspects of the firm’s civil and commercial litigation practice. Cases she handles cover contractual claims, shareholders’ disputes, contentious insolvency and cross-border proceedings involving PRC-related parties. Her other practice focus is international commercial arbitration. She handles large-scale arbitrations governed by Hong Kong law at the HKIAC and supports our overseas counterparts in cases governed by laws of other jurisdictions or with foreign seats. She has extensive experience in applications for Mareva / freezing injunction, Norwich Pharmacal order and order for enforcement of foreign judgment / arbitral award.

Jolly’s regulatory works include assisting individuals and corporations subject to investigations conducted by the Securities and Futures Commission for various market misconduct offences, and dealing with claims or inquiries initiated by professional bodies. She also frequently provides assistance in contentious and non-contentious employment matters, in aspects such as restrictive covenant, discrimination and data access. She also has experience dealing with criminal and immigration matters.

Jolly is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She also speaks Korean.
