Bryan qualified as a Solicitor in January 2015. Prior to joining Gall, Bryan worked for international law firms and worked at their Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai offices. He was also previously seconded to an international bank in Hong Kong.
Bryan has experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including those with cross-border elements. He advises employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship and regulatory issues, including termination entitlements, restrictive covenants, Labour Tribunal dispute, internal investigation, and SFC and ICAC investigation. Bryan also advises on the drafting of employment contracts, separation agreements, bonus plans, employee handbooks and policies, and also deals with data privacy, harassment and discrimination issues.
Bryan is also experienced in handling commercial litigation work, with particular focus on shareholders’ dispute, contentious trust dispute, insolvency and restructuring work. In particular, he has advised on the applications for Mareva injunction, Norwich Pharmacal order, and unfair prejudice remedies, and in contested winding up proceedings.
Bryan graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (First Class Honours) (2009), Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) (2011) and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (Distinction) (2012), all from the University of Hong Kong. He has obtained over twenty prizes and scholarships during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
